Tuugaalik is an educational initiative proudly created by Red Maple Film Studio with support from the Government of Nunavut – Department of Culture and Heritage. Launched on National Indigenous Languages Day, March 31, 2025, Tuugaalik is dedicated to teaching the Inuktitut language and sharing Inuit culture with children and youth across Canada and beyond.
Our mission is to promote the richness of Inuit history and culture on a global scale, ensuring that people everywhere—especially in Canada—gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Inuit heritage. Tuugaalik is committed to being accessible to Inuit communities across the country, creating space for cultural learning and pride.
We actively invite Inuit artists, musicians, storytellers, and youth to collaborate with us in producing local, authentic content. Together, we develop engaging, high-quality educational materials including:

-Clay Animations
– eBooks and printable PDF books
– Worksheets and colouring books for all age groups
At Tuugaalik, we believe that language and culture go hand in hand—and through creative, community-driven storytelling, we aim to keep Inuit traditions alive and thriving for future generations.
